The idea
A lab where Black men and boys
study themselves
This is a place to slow down and study yourself: to name what you feel, understand what you carry, and imagine more of who you can become. Not a lecture, not therapy. A lab, where we think, talk, reflect, and try things together.
One method across every lab
The labs
Choose a lab
Feelings Are Data is ready now. More are on the way, each built on the same method.
Feelings Are Data
Feelings are information. Name what you feel more clearly, and you get more choices for what to do next.

Identity in STEM
Bring your whole self. Your identity within STEM is part of who you are, not all of it, and you can stay rooted while navigating rigorous spaces.
Minor Setback, Major Come Up
Keep your why, find another way. What you do when the plan bends: rejection, setbacks, and staying close to your purpose.
The Capacity Lab
Build the capacity to hold and carry more, and to move through hard things without losing yourself.

A few common ones
What is the Grab Your Y Lab?
A growing set of interactive workshops where Black men and boys study themselves: they slow down, build language for what they feel, and imagine more of who they can become. Every lab runs on one method: Ground, Listen, Reflect, Interact, Explore, Apply.
Who is it for?
Colleges and universities, middle and high schools (grades 6-12), youth development programs, counseling and wellness offices, student affairs, Black male achievement programs, STEM programs, nonprofits, and churches. It can be shaped for youth or adults.
How long is a session?
Most labs run 60 to 90 minutes. Keynotes, half-day labs, and multi-session series are also available.
What do participants need?
No prep and no background required, just openness. What's Good, the reflection tool, can be used live on their phones, tablets, or computers during the lab.
How do we bring you in?
Reach out through the booking page with your group, timing, and what you are hoping for, and Dr. G will follow up.
